A Single-Stage High Power Factor Power Supply for Providing an LED Street-Light Lamp Featuring Soft-Switching and Bluetooth Wireless Dimming Capability

Light-emitting diode (LED) has the characteristics of environmental protection and energy saving, having become lighting source a new generation street-light lamps. The traditional two-stage power supply for providing an LED lamp is composed AC-DC converter with power-factor-correction (PFC) function at front stage DC-DC rear stage. large number electronic components costs, circuit efficiency not high. Therefore, this paper presents novel single-stage high factor featuring soft-switching Bluetooth wireless dimming capability through using smart tablets or smartphones to remote control output achieving energy-saving benefits. proposed integrates interleaved buck coupled inductors half-bridge LLC resonant into conversion circuit. Moreover, inductor designed operate in discontinuous conduction mode, which can naturally achieve PFC. In addition, two switches have zero-voltage switching (ZVS) characteristics, reduce losses switches. diodes zero-current (ZCS), diodes. This developed prototype 144 W (36 V/4 A)-rated lamp. According experimental results AC input voltage 110 volts, presented offers (PF > 0.99), low input-current total harmonic distortion (THD < 3%), (>89%). used built-in communication tablet phone fulfill control. By changing duty ratio signal, we could realize 20% 100% power.
